My sister and I stayed at Dei Mori La Massa for 11 nights. It was our second time staying at La Massa.
Danny greets guests upon arrival with a lovely welcome basket of local foods & wine, a lifesaver if like us you didn’t have time to shop prior to arrival. The villa is lovely, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is spacious and the bedroom is charming with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. If like us you are not up to nighttime driving in the mountainous Casentino, the kitchen at La Massa will not disappoint. It is by far the best kitchen of any rental we have stayed in. One of the reasons to stay in the Casentino is the natural beauty of the area, and La Massa has multiple outdoor spaces for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Even when inside, the villa opens up to the outside so you never feel removed from the beautiful surroundings.
The decor and personal touches such as fresh flowers tell you that this is not a faceless rental property, but a well-loved home. Danny makes himself available to assist with whatever you may need, and a cooking class with his mom Beppina is not to be missed!
We love La Massa and can’t wait to return.
