Villa La Massa is situated in the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

The views from the property are awe inspiring and the house is wonderfully located in wooded grounds of over one acre which slope down and away towards a rushing stream.

The position of the property is spectacular, being set high on a crest – the total atmosphere of the place is one of tranquillity and utter relaxation. Guests always appreciate returning to the Villa after a day of ‘seeing the sights’ in the Casentino Valley and Tuscany .

Villa La Massa has well furnished and equipped accommodation which focuses on your comfort with a beautiful living area, superb kitchen and large comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms.

Outside the villa are private terraces adjacent to the guest suite and the fabulous 12 metre swimming pool which benefits from solar heating.

An interesting feature of Villa La Massa is that it is not part of a complex and that the terraces and grounds can be just for you.

At Villa La Massa we are spectacularly located in a prominent elevated position in a South facing lateral valley which brings long hours of sunshine and a favourable micro climate. The house is approached by a lane which winds its way from the main road, crossing over a river by an ancient bridge and then winding upwards through olive groves to reach the property.

There are extensive private wooded grounds which drop away from the house giving a real sense of privacy and peace.

The whole atmosphere is one of utter tranquillity – we are far from any major road and the only sounds are the splash of the water as it tumbles from rock to rock, the birds and the summer calling of the crickets. At night, we are far away from any light pollution and guests always enjoy the brilliance of the stars and the closeness of the moon.

There is nothing to spoil the view and to witness a Villa La Massa morning is truly magnificent – the light has a wonderful brilliance and luminescent quality which never fails to enthral.

At Villa La Massa, the guest accommodation is situated in a wing of the house and has a private entrance and furnished sun terraces.
The space is flexible and either one or two bedrooms and one or two bathrooms can be provided depending on the size and needs of the party.

The living area is comfortable with sofas and individual armchairs, a hardwood dining table and chairs and occasional furniture.

The floor is in Tuscan ceramic tiles.

The kitchen area is finished to a very high standard by an exclusive Italian designer and manufacturer.

The kitchen includes a wide range of cupboards, ample work surfaces, full size built in stainless steel oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster etc.

The accommodation is very well equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses and kitchen utensils.

There is ample wardrobe and storage space and comfortable chairs for further relaxation. A particular feature is that we can provide either double or single beds.

At the Villa La Massa we have a beautiful 12 metre “L” shaped solar heated swimming pool which has a good length for lap swimmers and a spacious relaxation area with stepped seating.

This is solar heated so guests can enjoy comfortable swimming over an extended period of the year.

You may also be interested to know that most of the hot water for the house is generated via our sophisticated yet unobtrusive solar panels.

Surrounding the pool are extensive sun terraces finished in natural stone and these are furnished with hardwood teak sun beds, occasional chairs, benches and small tables.

There are of course large umbrellas for those who need shade.

This makes the perfect place to relax when one remembers the long hours of sunshine and the fantastic views.

Our guests at Villa La Massa love to sit by the pool and enjoy the feeling of privacy, silence and great natural beauty of the surroundings.

We place high emphasis on the cleanliness of the pool and the water is regularly tested. We try to avoid the high levels of chlorine which one finds in so many pools by efficient and constant filtration.

Guests enjoy private use of the pool although we do of course use it from time to time for a “quick dip”.
We always aim to provide a high level of support to our guests at Villa La Massa and this begins with a warm welcome where we try to identify your sightseeing wishes while on holiday with us and then provide appropriate advice about places to visit and restaurants to try.

The Dei Mori welcome and tactful support during your stay with us at Villa La Massa is the subject of much positive comment in the guest house book and in the varies internet review sites.
